Baptistry: Ghiberti's Gates of Paradise
Florence – Baptistry of S. Maria del Fiore

When the Italian State did not have the necessary funds to finish the restoration of these world famous bronze doors, Friends of Florence funded the completion of the project and the reassembly of the doors, which will ultimately reside in the Opera del Duomo Museum.

Three panels and parts of the sculptural frame from the doors were exhibited in the United States during 2007 and 2008 at the High Museum in Atlanta, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, and the Seattle Art Museum.
