The Sermon of St. John the Baptist, North Portal Sculptural Bronze Group by Giovan Francesco Rustici – Baptistry

Project Timeline: 2006 - 2008

Friends of Florence completed the restoration of the sculptural bronze group in 2008. During 2009 and 2010, the three imposing statues visited the United States as part of the of the exhibition Leonardo da Vinci: Hand of the Genius at Atlanta’s High Museum of Art and Los Angeles's J. Paul Getty Museum. For the museum catalog, Friends of Florence produced a DVD entitled “A Most Excellent Restoration, The Sermon of St. John the Baptist.”
