Friends of Florence’s third annual Easter Egg Hunt took place at New York University’s Villa La Pietra, benefiting the Boboli Garden Restoration for Children.
Celebrating the Italian Publication of Robert Edsel’s Book ‘Saving Italy’
Robert Edsel, a Founding Trustee of Friends of Florence, spoke at the Accademia to celebrate the Italian publication of his book Saving Italy. The presentation was followed by a book signing in the Accademia’s bookstore.
Second Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Friends of Florence’s second annual Easter Egg Hunt took place at the Torrigiani Gardens. Proceeds benefited the Boboli Garden Restoration for Children.
Taste of Tuscany with Toni Mazzaglia
This event, led by Toni Mazzaglia, owner of Taste Florence, took place at Enoteca Alessi and featured an overview and tasting of some of the wonderful foods and wines from our region, including balsamic vinegars, Pecorino cheeses and toppings, salumi, crostini, sweets, chocolates, and wines.
Childrens’ Special Visit to the Accademia Gallery
The visit included an art class with Lina Martinez.
Florence Chapter 2013 Holiday Dinner
Friends of Florence’s 2013 Holiday dinner took place on Tuesday, December 3rd. The evening began with a guided tour of the Bargello Museum with Elaine Ruffolo and Professor Gary Radke, followed by aperitivo and dinner at Palazzo Gondi.

On Monday, December 10th, the Florence Chapter of Friends of Florence hosted their annual holiday dinner at the Palazzo Davanzati (Via Porta Rossa, 13;Firenze). The evening began with aperitivo and a guided tour of the highlights of the palazzo, followed by dinner in the Great Room.
