It is one of the most prestigious works in the collection that the antiquarian Stefano Bardini donated to the City of Florence upon his death together with the palace in Piazza de’ Mozzi that the Municipality opened to the public as a museum in 1925. One hundred years after the birth of the Bardini museum, Piero del Pollaiolo’s ‘St. Michael the Archangel knocking down the dragon’ will be restored.
