An Aspen Institute seminar in cooperation with Friends of Florence.
Since 2007, Friends of Florence has partnered with the Aspen Institute to create and organize three-day programs highlighting the Renaissance for the December session of their Arts and Ideas Seminar series in Aspen, Colorado. In 2011, Aspen came to Florence. Each day of the program began with lectures and seminars about Florence and the Renaissance, and after lunch the group visited sites in and around Florence, including venues not usually accessible to the public. The closing dinner took place in the Accademia, under Michelangelo’s David.
