October 2016 Botticelli and Pollaiolo Program

Programs in Italy

October 13, 2016

 -  October 18, 2016

Our October 2016 Program will include a special tribute to the city of Florence as we unveil the Friends of Florence Botticelli Project in the Uffizi Gallery for the 50th anniversary of the devastating flood that damaged so many artworks, palaces and collections on November 4th, 1966.

The itinerary will focus on both Botticelli and Pollaiolo with careful viewing of other masters such as Filippo Lippi and Ghirlandaio. We will visit many museums and collections privately with a special viewing of the Sistine Chapel in Rome, the new Cathedral Museum in Florence, and our private celebration in the Uffizi Gallery amidst the world’s most famous paintings by Botticelli.
As all Friends of Florence programs, our days will also include unique visits to wineries, private venues, and dinners with Florentine friends in their palaces and estates.
