Jacopo Carucci’s, also known as Pontormo (1494-1556), paintings of St. John the Evangelist and St. Michael Archangel, c. 1519

Friends of Florence received this project for Pontormo altarpiece located near Florence in the town of Pontorme (Empoli) in the church of St.  Michele featuring these beautiful images of St. John and St. Michael Archangel.

This important artwork will be going to major exhibition on Pontormo that will take place in Rome at the Scuderie del Quirinale in 2026.
