Friends of Florence is funded the restoration of Luca Della Robbia’s Madonna and Child from the Oratory of San Tommaso Aquino in Florence. The work was completed in time to be featured in the Della Robbia: Sculpting with Color in Renaissance Florence exhibition, which is currently at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston through December 4th. The exhibit will open at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC on February 5, 2017 and stay until June 4, 2017. This will be the first major exhibition in the US dedicated solely to Della Robbia sculptures.
