Restoration of Giovanni di Francesco Fetti’s ‘Madonna And Child,’ – Church of San Lorenzo

This polychrome wooden statue in San Lorenzo, known in Florence as La Bentornata (Welcome Back), was carved in the 1380s, just after the artist executed other artworks for Orsanmichele and for the Loggia dei Lanzi on Piazza della Signoria.
