Monument to Pier Soderini – Choir, Church of Santa Maria del Carmine

Benedetto da Rovezzano crafted this monument to Pier Soderini, Gonfaloniere of the Republic, in 1512. It was damaged by a 1771 fire in the church. It was restored a few years later, but the extent of the work is not recorded/now lost. This project would restore the momument after a series of appropriate diagnostic tests.
